COMPROMISE WIHT THE ENVIROMENT

Our future as enterprise as well as nation will be possible created provided there is a suitable environment for human development. The future of our civilisation must be based on these concepts, which are perfectly understood and respected by us. This is why environmental affairs have priority over the objects of our manager's politics.

All of our processes respect the current environmental legislation according to the 41 article of our National Constitution that says: "All citizens have a right to a healthy, equilibrated and suitable environment for human development, so that the productive activities could satisfy the present needs without endangering future generations. As well as we have a duty to preserve it..."

The compatibility between our products and the environment is absolute, because our product can be unlimited recycled. In FEXA we particularly do the aluminium recycling process which is later used in the manufacture of some of our products, succeeding in:

  1. Generating employment.
  2. Saving in energy.
  3. Stimulating an ecological conscience.
  4. Economising natural resources.

Through our permanent training system that is developed under TOC premises (Theory of Constraints), our personnel is trained in working skills and permanent improvements related to environment affairs. We also stimulate our dealers to carry out the necessary requirements to effectively keep our environmental politics.
FEXA adds its small contribution to achieve a sustainable long-term development in order to bring in this way a chance to our future generations.

THE PROCESS OF RECYCLING

As part of our environmental engagement, in FEXA we recycle aluminium to be used, later, in the elaboration of some of our products such as: aluminium deoxidant for iron and steel industry, ingots, granulated metal, etc.

Recycling takes part of the "Recycling Cycle" where a material, in this case: aluminium, is subjected to, in order to be reused as many times as it is necessary needed or as the material allowed it.

The average of the recycling cycle's life span varies according to each product, for example: Aluminium tins, generally used to can drinks, have approximately a cycle's life span of 45 days, however aluminium cables, used in electrical areas, have a cycle's life span of 40 years.
It is important to mention that aluminium scraps generated in sheets, sections, etc. processes as well as the ones generated because of the life span's finishing, can all be recycled.

THE BENEFITS OF RECYCLING

Any aluminium product can be infinitely recycled without loosing its properties. This gives aluminium unique advantages and benefits over other materials. Among the ones that can be stood out, we mention:

Economical and social benefits:

It creates an earning choice in poor areas, which generates non-skilled labour employment through aluminium scrap picking that's why it has a very big social importance.
It doesn't need a big investment in relation to the necessary one to obtain prime aluminium.
It stimulates other business generating new productive activities like new tools and machine development for recycling processes.
It defines the general recycling legislation bases.
It promotes the recycling of other materials.

Environmental benefits:

It economises energy because it saves 95 % of the necessary energy needed in the prime aluminium process and it only uses 4 % of the necessary one to cast iron.
It harmonises with conscience growth, which promotes enterprises and citizens to have a responsible conduct with the environment.
It generates less environmental impact because of the reduction of the consumption waste.
It optimises natural sources seeing that for each aluminium ton, we avoid from 5 bauxite ton extraction.
